There are seven continents n the world.

ASIA 

* It is situated in North East region. 
* It is the largest continent by area and population. 
* 60% of world population lives in Asia. 

 By Area: 

Largest country by area is Russia.
The capital of Russia is Moscow.

By Population: 

* China is the largest country of Asia in the world. 
The capital of China is Beijing. 
* India is the second largest country. 
The capital is New Delhi.
* Indonesia is the third largest country. 
Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia. 

Islamic countries: 

*The largest Islamic country by area is Kazakhstan. 
The capital is Astana. 
*The largest Islamic country by population is Indonesia with population of 24 crores. 

Far Eastern countries: 

1) Japan (Tokyo) 
2) Philippines (Manila) 
3)South Korea (Seoul) 
4) North Korea (Pyongyang) 
5) Thailand (Bangkok)

CARs (Central Asian Republics) : 

CARs came into being in 1991 by the demise of USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).
CARs include K2UT2A & the rest is called Russia or Russian Federations.

3) U- Uzbekistan (Tashkent)
4) T- Tajikistan (Dushanbe)
5) T- Turkmenistan (Ashgabat)

A City found in Two Continents (Asia & Europe): 

Istanbul a city of Turkey is situated 10% in Europe and 90% in Asia and separated via bridge of 2.5km. In East of bridge is Asia, whereas in West is Europe. 

SAARC: 

SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) came into being in 1985. 
At the time of formation 7 countries were there & now they are 8 including Afghanistan.

3) Sri Lanka (Colombo, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte) 
4) Nepal (Kathmandu) 
5) Bhutan (Thimphu)

Seas: 

1) Red sea: It's in between Asia and Africa and ends at Egypt. 
2) Mediterranean sea: It's between Europe and Africa. 
3) Caspian sea: It's in East of Azerbaijan and in West of Turkmenistan. 
4) Dead sea: It's in Middle East near Jordan, Israel and Syria.
*Suez Canal: 
It came into being on November 17, 1869. 
It is 170km long.
It combines Red sea and Mediterranean sea. 
It's the shortest shipping trade route between Asia and Europe. 
It's the backbone of economy of Egypt. 

EUROPE 

It's biased towards center (between NE & NW).

Scandinavian countries: 

These are four (DFNS). 
1) D- Denmark (Copenhagen)
2) F- Finland (Helsinki)
3) N- Norway (Oslo) 
4) S- Sweden (Stockholm) 

Balitic states: 

These are three (LLE) and are named as Balitic states because they are situated near Balitic sea. 
1) L- Latvia (Riga) 
2) L- Lithuania (Vilnius) 
3) E- Estonia ( Tallinn) 

Vetican City: 

It's the world's smallest country by area. 
It's situated in the city of Italy i.e. Rome by 2.56 miles of its boundary. Its area is 0.4 sq km. The largest Church and the greatest priest, John Pop III resides here. 

Black sea: 

Its situated near Turkey, Romania (Bucharest), 
Ukarine (Kiev), Bulgaria (Sofia) & Bosnia (Serajeav). 

European countries:

3) Greece (Athens) 
4) Germany (Berlin)

UK 

UK stands for United Kingdom. It comprises four countries: 
1) England (London)

It's situated in North West region.

USA:

United States of America 
There are 52 states in USA. 
Washington DC (district of Columbia) is the capital. ( It's not a state but it's a part of Virginia state).

Western American states: 

Los Angeles

It's in South West region.

Sudan (Khartoum) - 2nd largest Muslim country by area after Kazakhstan. 
Zambia (Lusaka)

                          Pretoria - spring) 

Panama Canal: 

It facilitates the trade between North America and South America. It also connects Pacific ocean and Atlantic ocean. 

Greenland: 

World's largest island in North America under the administrative control of Denmark. 


AUSTRALIA 

* It's in South East region. 
* It's the smallest continent in the world. 
* It's country, island & continent at the same        time.

ANTARCTICA 

*It's in South pole whereas in North pole it's frozen ice. 
* There's only research centres & no permanent population because of very low temperature.
